Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety as the character Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC Show with the same title; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. A native of California Swanson had a passion for acting from the time she was a child. She started her career in acting through a variety of commercials. The first time she appeared on screen in 1984 in an NBCs It's Your Time episode. In 1986, she made her debut on the romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Famous for her blonde hair and the breathless voiceSwan has shifted to portraying minor characters over the last few times. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
