Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a lovely fiance called JP as well as hapless dad Henry. Many people are familiar with me via my Instagram platform, @annephung. I post my daily life: the highs the lows and all between. My parents accompanied me into America in the year 1990 when I was just one-and-a half. I wouldn't be sharing my story with you today if my parents didn't work for their dreams and put up with sacrifices. Being aware of the possibility to have a brighter future, I strived to impress them and had a clear vision when it came to the success. I believed my life would go a certain way: graduate from college, get a corporate position, get married and start a family. My goal was to attend college, graduate and get a corporate job. After that, I'd marry to buy a home and start a family. Life had other ideas. Money and the prestige of my position didn't make me feel happy. I felt as if I wasted my life for a paycheck. It was in 2013 that I discovered that my true passion was fitness. I also enjoyed having fun and being able to help others. As I moved towards the new direction of my life, I discovered personal training. My small business was started in 2014 and I'll be celebrating my 7th year of business success this year, 2021. It's not common to see an Asian woman working in this field. As a coach, my goal is to encourage others to lead a healthy and happy life by creating healthy and sustainable living styles that meet each individual's needs and goals. Additionally, I'm committed to helping others become empowered so that they can achieve their goals, pursue their passions and live the life of your dreams. In the beginning of my career, the death of my mother was the biggest blow to my life. To be in Heaven she now rests following an eight-year fight against the disease known as Scleroderma. But I still carry the memory of her daily. It is possible to learn from life, even though we may not be able to recognize it right now. Her passing has changed my life in several ways. I truly believe that my death provided me with the opportunity to begin an entirely new chapter. It was the Tet/Lunar New Year Day when she died. The opportunity was there to start a new chapter in her life which gave me the chance to lead an enjoyable and satisfying life. The 30's are the only time I really feel I am alive. My goal in telling my story is to let you know that you're not the only one. I would like you to feel that love is real and that therapy is common. Your health is truly your greatest asset. My prayer is to live your life fully and that your final resting place is not a regret, because that's all that we have to be confident about during this lifetime.
